It has an aluminium pulley and body and does not require a control box as it is all built in. You can wire it directly (just 2 wires) or run it through the control box to keep the original look. It saves a lot of weight and gives you a far more powerful output (50 A instead of 25 A) than the original dynamo. An excellent upgrade for any dynamo/generator equipped car for modern driving conditions with added electrical accessories.
