A special pad construction with a separate thermal underlayer keeps the heat away from the brake piston very effectively. This covering has a general operating permit. RUNNING INSTRUCTIONS: Recommended to compact the structure in the covering or the binding resin. Brake the vehicle approx. 30 times with high braking force, but not with full braking power, in order to build up the temperature accordingly. Allow the toppings to cool. The retraction is now complete. Poor and incorrect braking will be noticeable in the wear of the brake pad. Sintered pads only require mechanical running-in. Organic coverings require mechanical and also thermal running-in. High temperatures reduce the running-in time.

The cranks are manufactured from a solid billet of very high specification EN40B (722M24) material. The material is specially selected to ensure that it is particularly clean ensuring that oxide and sulphide content is minimised. This gives major improvement in the strength and ductility of the material and greatly improves fracture resistance. Our material should not be confused with other (cheaper) steels that are used in crankshaft manufacture! The design incorporates eight counterweights to increase reliability at high rpm by reducing the loads on the crank bearings generated by the connecting rod and piston inertia. The counterweights are knife edged to reduce drag and are pocketed to remove inefficient mass, helping to reduce overall inertia and improve throttle response. The oil supply galleries are fully linked through the crank and feature new outlet positions in the big ends to optimise the supply of oil to the connecting rod bearings. The crank is gas nitrided to increase the hardness of the bearing surfaces and dynamically balanced to race engine specification. We firmly believe that you will not find a better crank on the market!!!

Motorsport crankshaft girdle plate - laser-cut steel construction Alfa Romeo 101 / 105 / 116 / 75 types This high-strength, laser-cut steel plate reinforces the entire crankshaft assembly and provides significantly greater stability in the main bearing area. Installation takes place between the engine block and the oil pan at the main bearing caps. The additional reinforcement reduces vibrations in the crankshaft assembly and significantly decreases the load on the crankshaft main bearings - a decisive advantage for high-performance or high-revving engines. Performance advantages: Significantly stiffer crankshaft assembly Reduced engine vibrations Lower bearing wear Higher load capacity of the engine block Additionally, the plate acts as an oil scraper and prevents oil from sloshing away from the oil pump during fast cornering. We are delighted to announce that we have just introduced an external return spring kit for the DCOE series of carburettors. Although fitted with internal return springs, many race scrutineers require the use of a visible external spring as well, and our new kit will simply, easily, cheaply and safely satisfy these requirements. The kit comprises a top spring mount specially designed to allow unrestricted access to the jet inspection cover.
