Sway bars are designed to reduce or regulate body roll in a vehicle.
Since the suspension system on our transaxles is set up by the Alfa Romeo factory for everyday traffic, the dimensions used for the anti-roll bar result in a modest anti-roll effect. This setup ensures the car remains comfortable and can be driven safely in both dry and wet conditions, with or without passengers.
However, this handling setup is not ideal for track days or fast street use. Body roll not only feels slow but also slows the car down while cornering. Due to body roll, the corner weights on each wheel differ, reducing overall cornering forces. In addition, wheel alignment is negatively affected, resulting in less predictable handling.
For fast driving on flat and dry tarmac, you want to minimize body roll so that the car's weight transfer is minimal and overall grip is maximized.
We supply rear anti-roll bars in 26 mm. The V6 models benefit greatly from these bars, and the Twin Spark versions become even more nimble.
Note: Modifications to the pickup points are only required when mounting on a GTV6. On the Milano and 75 models, it fits directly without modification.
