High torque lightweight starter 1900 / 2000 1958-62
High Performance Starter Motor, New, 1.4 kW Only 3.70 kg Alfa Romeo 1900 1958 - 62 Alfa Romeo 2000 (102) 1958 - 62 Our high-performance lightweight gear reduction starter motors are designed and manufactured on high-quality OE (Original Equipment) platforms. Thanks to their high torque, they are ideal for demanding operating conditions as well as custom-built and modified vehicles. Compared with a conventional original starter motor, they typically deliver up to twice the power while drawing only around half the current, and they also weigh approximately 50% less. Unless specifically designed for a single application, the starter motor can be rotated 360° around its own axis. This allows virtually unlimited mounting positions, making it easy to overcome space constraints and obstacles in the engine bay. Type: Denso OSGR *r: Offset Gear Reduction starter motor. Weight: 3.7 kg Operating voltage: 12 V Polarity: Suitable for both positive and negative earth systems Power: 1.4 kW Rotation: Clockwise (CW) Number of pinion teeth: 9 Pinion diameter: 35 mm Made in the UK
High torque lightweight starter 1900 2. series
High Performance Starter Motor, New, 1.4 kW Only 3.70 kg Alfa Romeo 1900 (2nd Series) with 2000 (102) gearbox Our high-performance lightweight gear reduction starter motors are designed and manufactured on high-quality OE (Original Equipment) platforms. In the Starter Motors subcategory, you will find starter units for numerous models – both in original-spec versions and performance-enhanced reproductions.
The starter motor initiates engine operation by engaging the flywheel via a pinion gear. It must reliably deliver high torque and current loads, especially at low temperatures.
Our range includes complete starter motors, replacement units, and – for certain models – individual components such as solenoids, pinions, or bearings. For many vehicles, we offer modernized starters with a compact design and improved efficiency – ideal for tight engine bays or tuned engines.
All starters are electrically tested, mechanically accurate, and tailored to the specific engine type, flywheel teeth profile, and installation position – ensuring reliable, fast starting under all conditions.
