Turbo wastegate actuator rod Alfa Giulia / Stelvio 2.0
The ultimate solution for worn-out turbo wastegate actuator rods on your Alfa Romeo Giulia or Stelvio! Our completely reengineered turbo wastegate actuator rod is designed as a permanent replacement for the original rod, which is prone to premature wear, causing wastegate rattle and underboost fault codes. Alfa Romeo does not offer the actuator rod as a separate replacement part, requiring the replacement of the entire turbocharger assembly at considerable expense. The original actuator rod is manufactured from plated mild steel, resulting in unlubricated metal-on-metal contact between the rod and the mounting posts at both ends. Over time, this leads to excessive wear and increased play in the linkage. Our innovative solution features a precision-machined actuator rod made from lightweight, high-strength titanium. To virtually eliminate wear, the actuator side is equipped with a high-speed sealed ball bearing, while the turbocharger side utilizes a custom-designed two-piece hybrid bearing manufactured from ultra-high-temperature-resistant Nitronic® stainless steel. This advanced bearing system eliminates friction, ensures smooth wastegate operation under all operating conditions, and provides exceptional long-term durability. In addition, our replacement rod is manufactured to tighter tolerances than the original component. Because the integrated bearings eliminate any possibility of binding, the wastegate operates with greater precision, resulting in more accurate boost control and, in some applications, improved throttle response. Fits: All Alfa Romeo Giulia models (2017 onwards) and Stelvio models (2018 onwards) equipped with the 2.0T engine. Not compatible with Quadrifoglio models. Includes: Replacement retaining clips for both ends of the actuator rod. Made in the USA.
