Race bearings today inevitably need to match these demands with more competitive bearings. At King Racing we met the challenge with the XP high performance bearings series. The XP series is a line of bearings with advanced metallurgical and geometric technologies that meet extreme performance loads. It was developed for all performance applications that use forged steel aftermarket crankshafts and produce high loads for extended periods. King Racings XP series features pMax Black, a unique tri-metal structure that is 24% harder than any other conventional tri-metal race bearing. pMax Black together with the XP geometric features are the ideal combination for performance racing.

Plaque de rigidification pour vilebrequin de compétition – construction en acier découpé au laser Alfa Romeo types 101 / 105 / 116 / 75 Cette plaque en acier haute résistance, découpée au laser, rigidifie l’ensemble du mécanisme du vilebrequin et assure une stabilité nettement accrue au niveau des paliers principaux. Le montage s’effectue entre le bloc moteur et le carter d’huile au niveau des chapeaux de paliers principaux. Le renforcement supplémentaire réduit les vibrations du mécanisme du vilebrequin et diminue sensiblement la charge sur les paliers principaux du vilebrequin – un avantage décisif pour les moteurs haute performance ou à haut régime. Avantages performance : Mécanisme de vilebrequin nettement plus rigide Réduction des vibrations du moteur Usure des paliers réduite Capacité de charge accrue du bloc moteur La plaque agit également comme un racleur d’huile et empêche l’huile de s’éloigner de la pompe lors de virages rapides. Vilebrequin 1600 GTA Sport Racing (8 poids)
Our 1600 GTA crankshafts are machined to our exclusive design by Arrow precision, a leading crankshaft manufacturer with over 30 years experience in the Motorsport arena, including Formula 1, Le Mans, WRC and WTCC. They are manufactured to our specification that has been developed over a number of years and is the result of our extensive experience of tuning the 1600 GTA engine. The cranks are manufactured from a solid billet of very high specification EN40B (722M24) material. The material is specially selected to ensure that it is particularly clean ensuring that oxide and sulphide content is minimised. This gives major improvement in the strength and ductility of the material and greatly improves fracture resistance. Our material should not be confused with other (cheaper) steels that are used in crankshaft manufacture! The design incorporates eight counterweights to increase reliability at high rpm by reducing the loads on the crank bearings generated by the connecting rod and piston inertia. The counterweights are knife edged to reduce drag and are pocketed to remove inefficient mass, helping to reduce overall inertia and improve throttle response. The oil supply galleries are fully linked through the crank and feature new outlet positions in the big ends to optimise the supply of oil to the connecting rod bearings. The crank is gas nitrided to increase the hardness of the bearing surfaces and dynamically balanced to race engine specification. We firmly believe that you will not find a better crank on the market!!!
